Prior supply agreement
This process is intended for cases where a project owner plans to build or renovate a real estate development.
The purpose of this procedure, which covers electricity, gas, and district heating and cooling networks (CFU), is to enable the project owner and project manager to:
- Confirm the feasibility of energy supply for their development.
- Reserve, as early as possible, the energy supply capacity for their development.
- Know the terms of energy supply for their development (high-voltage electricity, low-voltage electricity, gas, CFU).
- Facilitate the steps required to obtain the building permit, demonstrating that the project, as planned, can be supplied with energy.
This procedure also allows SMEG to take the project owner's plans into account and factor them in if other real estate or road projects arise in the vicinity of the project site.
Access all our documentsThe request for prior approval for the supply of a real estate development is accompanied in particular by the following documents:
- Position of the real estate development relative to adjoining roads, and indication of access routes and the routing of supply pipelines.
- Definition, where applicable, of the technical rooms used by the energy distributor (HTA/BT substations, metering rooms, heat exchanger rooms, etc.) and/or the planned connection points to the networks.
- A detailed power assessment of the real estate development.
- The definition of any routing of public distribution networks through the private domain of the development.
- The definition of any routing of pipes and building risers that will be operated by SMEG.
Of course, the complexity of a real estate development and the supply choices made may require prior discussions before a project is submitted for approval. SMEG therefore encourages designers to contact it as early as possible during the design phase in order to schedule a meeting to consider the solutions or alternatives that may be chosen by the project owner or project manager.
