Processing of personal data

Right of access

Provided for by Law No. 1.165 of 23 December 1993, as amended, regulating the processing of personal information.

As a Public Service Concession Holder, the Société Monégasque de l'Electricité et du Gaz (SMEG) informs its customers and users that it processes and retains information concerning them in several computerized files:

A file whose purpose is "customer relationship management," interconnected with files whose purpose is "diagram of electricity and gas riser columns," "management of electricity and gas metering information," and "rate simulation."

A website.

For the safety of property and persons, it also operates a video surveillance system whose data is automatically erased every month. Recipient of the information: Public Security Department in the event of fraudulent acts.

A telephone switchboard.

The recording of telephone calls on the emergency/repair line. Recipients of the information: bailiffs, Public Security Department, Grantor: in the event of a dispute or challenge.

All information processed in these files is accessible only to authorized SMEG staff or its subcontractors.

Protection of personal data in connection with recruitment management within SMEG and its subsidiaries

Nature of the data collected

When the Candidate uses the "Recruitment" section on the SMEG website, they are informed that the SMEG Human Resources Department collects data relating to:

Their identity (surname, first name, address, phone number, email address, date and place of birth, nationality)

Their professional and non-professional activities related to the position offered or to the assessment of the Candidate's professional skills (profession and field of activity, information about the employer, career history).

Mandatory/optional nature of the data collected

The SMEG Human Resources Department indicates to the Candidate whether the answers to be provided in the form to be completed are mandatory or optional.

For optional questions, the Candidate may choose not to fill them in.

For mandatory questions marked with an asterisk (*), the Candidate must complete the fields to enable the SMEG Human Resources Department to respond to their request. This data is necessary for the review of their application.

Failure to provide this data will result in the inability to process their application.

Purpose of the data collected and retention period

The personal data requested from the Candidate and processed by the SMEG Human Resources Department is intended for the management of applications.

This data is kept by SMEG for one year, renewable for one additional year with the candidate's agreement.

Recipients authorized to process this data

The information collected is intended for the SMEG Human Resources Department as data controller, and may be transferred to the operational manager of the department involved in the recruitment and/or to an external recruitment agency if this proves necessary for the management of applications.

Candidate's rights

In accordance with applicable legislation, the Candidate has a permanent right of access to information, and of modification and correction of data concerning them, which they may exercise by sending a request by mail to SMEG, 10 avenue de Fontvieille, Monaco.

For security reasons and to prevent any attempted fraud, this request must be accompanied by proof of identity, which SMEG will destroy once verification has been carried out.

Limited data retention period

Personal data submitted through the Candidate Account is kept, in the event of a negative outcome of the application, for 1 year.

At the end of this period, the candidate will be asked to give their consent for the data to be kept for an additional year.

Personal data will be deleted if the candidate refuses or when the retention period expires.
